Creekmoor

In 2019, we got the ad for new home open houses in the area. One of them was in a gated community called Loch Lloyd. I had never been there and I was curious. It's a beautiful place with many million-dollar plus homes. Even the open houses were over the top, not that we were seriously looking. Since we had seen how that half lived, we decided to get nosy and look see how the other half lived, again just out of curiosity. We didn't see much of interest until we saw one by SAB Homes called Sonoma. We went back and looked again. I wasn't really thinking of a new home. Our plan all along was to sell the Florida home when I turned 85 in 2021. One day Nancy asked what we were going to do with the money once we sold the Florida house. What about buying the Sonoma home? It would give us a little more room. I guess the size of the Raymore house was starting to close in on us a little. The Sonoma we had looked at already had a buyer. Another Sonoma they were building was in a community that required so many extras (stucco siding, tile roof, etc.) that the price of it was way out of line. Eventually we came across a lot in Creekmoor on a golf course on the north side of Raymore that we thought was ideal. We met with the builder and started thinking more seriously about it. When we were back in Florida we made the decision to go for it and signed a contract.
